R&D Structural Engineer

Job Qualifications:

1. 1. Responsible for managing the entire product development process for the automotive lighting project, from RFQ to SOP;

Job Description:
1. Develop feasibility analysis plans and associated data based on the customer’s styling requirements and technical specifications; participate in the customer’s early-stage design and technical discussions; and drive the finalization of styling optimizations.
2. Responsible for the structural design of vehicle lighting components and assemblies at each project phase (including both 2D and 3D designs), establishing appropriate dimensional tolerances and material specifications to comply with relevant regulations and customer requirements, while also meeting manufacturing process requirements.
3. Adhere to the milestone requirements for each phase of the project, conduct regular reviews with the project team (including product prototyping and development, optics, electronics, tooling, etc.), compile a list of review findings and develop corresponding change plans, and carry out data optimization until the data is finalized.
4. At each project milestone, prepare project- and customer-specific documentation (TR, BOM, DFMEA, and data freeze reports); participate in initiatives to enhance design capability and efficiency and to improve quality.
5. Track issues arising during product pilot production and development; conduct relevant verification based on the review findings and revision recommendations from the pilot production review, then issue the design change proposal; and follow up on the outcomes of the design changes until all issues are closed.
Job Qualifications:
